The World Beat festival is an annual event that takes place in summer June 25th and 26th in the park in front of Willamette River. It is two-day nonstop program.
This program supports international cultures from different several countries and For instance, Turkish, Egypt, Pakistan, India, and Canada. The park becomes covered with the white camps and each group of camps represents one country then people can enjoy watching different cultures, dances, tradition food and each country’s costume.
People may spend the whole day in the park to complete one round. The visitors enjoy the program so much because they can taste different kinds of food. In addition they can sit on the grass enjoy watching the different type of dances like the Japanese dance and the Egyptian dance. Also, they can join the forging people and dance with them. That must be a great thing that may attract the visitors.

ReplyDeleteThe photo of the ribbons and May pole reminds me of a performance I did when I was very little. We danced around the May pole to celebrate spring.
